Easy and delicious apple cider mimosa cocktail recipe: learn how to make this easy-to-make, delicate and delightful fall cocktail.
A classic mimosa is a timeless cocktail and one of the most popular drinks for parties, big or small.
Whether you are entertaining colleagues or extended family or you have a girls’ night with your besties, you can count on the mimosa to set the mood right: who doesn’t love being welcome with an elegant drink?
As well as popular, mimosas cocktails are also easy to make, so here at Mama Loves a Drink, we are mimosa fans!
However, sometimes, we prefer to move away from the classic recipe and give our mimosa a bit of a twist.
In summer, we love our bellini (basically, an upscale mimosa variation); in winter, we love our cranberry mimosa. In the fall, we love apple cider mimosa!
This is how you can make your won apple cider mimosas at home – as individual glasses or fill a party pitcher!

Cocktail-making tools you need to make an apple cider mimosa
An apple cider mimosa is super simple to make and doesn’t require special tools. However, the following bar essentials help with preparation and presentation
- Champagne/sparkling wine flutes for a classic mimosa look or a stemless glass if playing on the cider quality of the drink (we like this presentation a lot!)
- A jigger, if you’re making individual glasses
- A knife or apple slicer to slice the apple (for garnish)
- Toothpicks (for garnish)

How to garnish the glass rim of your apple cider mimosa
An apple cider mimosa is often sweet enough not to require a sugared rim; however, if you want to add an extra touch to your presentation, it is easily done!
To sugar the rim of the glass:
- Take a saucer and sprinkle onto it a generous amount of sugar. With cider, we like brown sugar and cinnamon sugar the best for taste and colour.
- Slightly wet the rim of your glass and place it upside down so that the sugar sticks to it. You can use your apple cider for this.
- Pour your cocktail as usual.
