A delicious recipe to make almond milk tea at home! Learn how to make this delicious nutty boba tea, perfect for black tea lovers

  • Total Time: 21 minutes

Ingredients

  • Black boba pearls – a handful
  • One sachet of black tea
  • Boiling water
  • Almond milk

Instructions

Making almond milk tea is as easy as pouring hot water on your teabag. However, if you are making a boba version of this tea, you need to also cook your tapioca pearls, which will take about 20 minutes.

Boba pearls usually come with cooking instructions. Should they not, this is the process:

Out a generous amount of water in a pot. Place on a hob, turn on the heat and bring it to a boil.

Once the water is bubbling, add your boba pearls and let them simmer for about 20 minutes. The boba balls will quickly float to the top: lower the heat enough so that the water simmer but they don’t splash out!

After your 20 minutes have gone, taste the pearl: once they are chewy, they are ready.

Drain the pearls and pass them quickly under cold running water to cool them down and eliminate excess starch.

Now set aside and brew your tea. Once you have your tea at the strength you like, add the pearls to your glass and top up with almond milk to taste. Serve hot or cold.
