Thermomix Mojito

A wonderful refreshing cocktail treat to whip up in your Thermie, a delicate citrus blend can work perfectly in your Thermomix, using reverse mode to do the muddling that would normally be done by hand.

Being a Thermomix recipe, you will find our weights are all in grams rather than ml/oz. Due to the delicate mixing, this recipe won't translate to a blender. You'll need our classic mojito recipe instead.

  • Total Time: 0 hours
  • Yield: 2 serves 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 40g sugar
  • 610 mint leaves
  • 2 Limes, quartered
  • 120g white rum
  • 120g soda water
  • 350g ice cubes

Instructions

    1. Weigh sugar into the Thermomix basket 8 seconds / speed 8
    2. Add mint leaves and lime to muddle – 20 seconds / reverse speed 3
    3. Weight in rum, soda and ice to muddle – 10 seconds / reverse speed 3
    4. Pour into glasses and garnish with a sprig of mint

Notes

If you prefer your mojito with ‘no bits’ and clearer, you can strain it through your Thermomix strainer basket before serving. You may prefer to remove the lime before serving too.

We’ve also seen sparkling water substituted for soda water, though as a personal taste preference we thing soda water works better in a mojito.
